Ryan Headed to NYC

Thought I'd take a picture of Ryan before he left to celebrate Nina's birthday (a different "nina," obviously!)

The Castor Aftermath Must Have Traveled Thru The Wind

Well, we didn't even visit the Castors, but it looks like their family illness decided to pay us a visit anyway. Needless to say, it's been a rough night. So far, only Braeden has succumbed, but I doubt if Wiley will escape unscathed.

Easter, Part II

During Easter dinner, Robb thought he saw something run into the woods. The boys quickly grabbed their baskets and headed outside.

The eggs were everywhere - even in the bushes.

It didn't take long for the "big kids" to get a little bored. By the way... it wasn't quite as cold as Ryan made it look.

The Easter Bunny even hid some eggs in the wood pile.

The boys thought they saw the rabbit's footprints leading into the woods, so naturally, they had to check it out. Sure enough... proof that the Easter Bunny had been to our house.

Happy Easter

It's kind of hard to get motivated for an Easter egg hunt when it's 25 degrees outside, but we're going to give it our best shot! I'll post those pictures this afternoon, but first... we needed to decorate the eggs.

Braeden just had fun playing in colored water with our complete approval!

Wiley was more interested in watching Kellen than decorating his own!

Thank goodness for Kellen's patience when it comes to decorating eggs.

The finished product!

March Madness

Well, the brackets are filled out and taped to the fridge. Braeden went out on a limb and picked Butler to win it all. (I think he liked saying the word, "BUT-ler.") Wiley has already been indoctrinated and picked UConn to be the champion.

If you're a basketball fan - enjoy the tournament!

First Band Practice

Well, the "band" had their first practice today. Don't judge too harshly - they've got a lot of work to do! They're looking for a name for their band - if any of you can help - please forward your suggestion!

Braeden needs some "Instwaments"

Those were the first words out of Braeden's mouth yesterday morning. He proceeded to tell me that he wanted (among other things,) a "twumpet." When he finally convinced Kellen to get her clarinet out - he just had to see where that noise was coming from!

Bowling

As some of you know, Robbie has developed a love for bowling! (Who would have guessed that??) Well, unfortunately, I didn't get to witness this spinning technique because of the new wax just applied to the lanes. (Huh???!) However, we all had a good time. Robb won the contest - you know how it is... the father somehow manages to summon what it takes to win ...when it matters!

By the way, in the last video where Robbie gets a strike - Kellen is bowling just to his right - she also gets a strike!

Poker

After breakfast, it was a family poker game. As usual, Kellen had to be "dragged" to the table. Then she mysteriously disappeared when she went to make a music playlist.

Breakfast

Kellen and Ryan are on Spring Break and Robbie was off this weekend - So, the whole family was back together. The day started with breakfast at our usual place... "M and M's."

Story Time

On Wednesday mornings, the boys attend Story Time at the library. "Miss Wendy" reads stories and then they work on a craft. Sorry the picture isn't so great - they're listening to the instructions.

Here's Miss Wendy - our wonderful Children's Librarian.

Tubing

I think the boys are "hooked" on getting pulled by the quad. They would have kept going indefinitely but Robb got a little nervous when it swung wide a couple of times. It probably wasn't too safe. So, we went back to riding them on the quad instead of pulling them.

March - Came In Like a Lion

Another snowstorm today. The battery on the quad has been replaced and it's now ready for action! First... a little shoveling and then the fun!
